The majority of shopping happens in August, but it continues all the way into September, so there is still plenty of time for brands to put some fuel to the fire! These two demographics in particular are like the red-headed step-children of Back-to-school marketing because most brands are busy trying to get in front of moms.
The reason this particular approach is smart is because 59% of moms say that their purchase decisions are influenced by what their kids want. And when dads are in charge of the shopping, they are spending 37% more than moms!
