Kiip’s Apple Pay Integration Will Change the Way You Advertise Online

In the ever-evolving landscape of mobile advertising, it’s vital to look ahead. That’s why we’re announcing Kiip’s new Apple Pay integration. We’re the first in the industry to launch this single-touch purchase system directly from mobile ads.

This integration enables users to route from branded reward to purchase in one click. A brand can now offer a users products, gift cards or subscriptions in any one of the 3,000+ apps on the Kiip network and those users can purchase the items in a single tap.

When taking on this project, it was of utmost importance to incorporate a technology already familiar to users. As a household name, Apple Pay is a mobile payment system that has the scale and user trust to become ubiquitous. We were inspired to leverage this technology to facilitate mobile commerce, while giving users peace of mind regarding online payments.

True to Kiip’s moments philosophy, the integration instantly gratifies users without disrupting their in-app experience. Even when receiving and redeeming brand rewards, consumers never depart from the app. These simplified transactions benefit developers with smoother mobile advertising, while giving brands access to instant payments, subscription acquisitions and improved sales tracking. The one-tap integration turns purchase “intents” into direct sales.

Kiip integrates Apple Pay

Several apps have signed on so far, including Perfect365 and RunKeeper. Together, these two apps account for just 84 million beauty and fitness users within the Kiip network.

Perfect365, a popular photo enhancer, is excited to harness the integration by delivering rewards relevant to each moment. For instance, users experimenting with digital eye shadows may purchase similar hues from participating beauty brands. Advertisers can step in at the perfect moment to congratulate users for their in-app achievements with makeup, clothes and other retail goodies in real life.

Similarly, RunKeeper looks forward to congratulating users for their fitness activities. Users tired from long workouts can purchase a new pair of running shoes that will put the spring back in their step. Brands partnering with Kiip will be able to offer fitness trackers, protein bars and other sports paraphernalia during the moments users are most engaged.

This integration makes it simpler than ever for brands to set up campaigns with Kiip. As Apple Pay is contained within the reward units, there’s no need for brands to incorporate the mobile payment technology. Additionally, custom destination URLs, promo codes, etc. are not necessary. It’s a seamless experience for all parties.

To ensure Apple Pay rewards are only delivered to eligible users, we’re targeting campaigns based on user device type and operating system. With this in mind, Apple Pay rewards will only be served to iOS 8 users on the newest generation of Apple hardware.

As for optimization, Apple Pay units will appear alongside our other reward delivery methods during the beginning stages of the integration. We’ll compare conversion and purchase rates to achieve the highest possible profits for brands.
