Our team is comprised of the best and brightest from every field but their dazzling personalities are what really make Kiip the amazing company that it is. That’s why every month we like to profile a Kiiper so the world can know just how awesome our team is.
In this edition of Meet a Kiiper we chatted with Reid Coggins. Reid is our Platform Product Lead who manages our engineering team and keeps the ship running. He’s super productive, insanely healthy, and brings people together to produce quality work at lighting speed. We’re excited for you to get to know him!
When did you start working at Kiip?
Feb 16, 2015
What do you do? (What is that?)
My title is Platform Product Lead. This basically means I’m a Product Manager, Kiip’s only one! As the sole product manager, I’m responsible for our suite of products from the reward unit to our configuration dashboard (app.kiip.me). I work with business stakeholders to understand the most pressing needs of our company and figure out how best to enhance our product suite to support those needs. I then use an agile approach to communicating with our engineers through sprint planning, daily standups, and our ticketing system.
What do you love most about working at Kiip?
What I love most about working here is everyone’s friendliness.
What is your favorite project that you’ve worked on – or – what was a benchmark that was reached that you were particularly proud of?
Although it might not be a very exciting project or benchmark, I’m particularly proud of my role in helping the company transition to a more intuitive and streamlined process around engineering request prioritization, requirements gathering, and work assignment. I feel like this has led to a more efficient and effective engineering team.
When you’re not at Kiip what are you most likely doing?
You can find me dancing. I’m currently taking contemporary ballet and loving it.
What is your favorite Kiip integrated app?
Any.do. I’m all about productivity and it’s a simple way to organize your life.
What’s your favorite movie?
What Dreams May Come.
What is your favorite song right now?
It’s an oldie by now but I was reminded of it when it came up on my Pandora station and now I can’t stop listening to it! Billy Joel’s, “We Didn’t Start the Fire”. I feel like it’s as applicable today as it was back then.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I can roll my tongue lol.
Quinoa, amaranth, and millet. Yum!
